Rapper Tyler, The Creator is heading to the small screen to launch his own TV network.
The Odd Future star, 23, has landed a deal with former ABC executive Lloyd Braun for his new company, Whalerock.
The MC, real name Tyler Okonma, will create a network that will allow him to bring exclusive and licenced content directly to his fans, and it will launch before the end of June (15).
During technology conference Code/Media in Dana Point, California on Wednesday (18Feb15), Okonma boasted the station will be "my own MTV or my own Cartoon Network",
He will provide the creative details for the new venture while Braun handles the business side.
The rapper says, "Am I getting paid up front for this? I don't know, but it's not about the money for me. I wanted my own network. I wanted to do something cool. It's always about me doing something that I think is awesome."
The project will be the first to launch under the Whalerock arm, while individual channels for each of the Kardashian sisters and shock jock Howard Stern are also slated to debut this year (15).
