Rapper Tyga has declared he is in the process of buying the property in Calabasas, California which has embroiled him in a rent dispute.
The hip-hop star was hit with a lawsuit from the landlord, who has threatened him with eviction if he does not pay $500,000 in allegedly unpaid rent.
Tyga has now hit back, insisting he cannot owe rent because he splashed out $200,000 to buy the home a year ago, and claiming the landlord let him move in without paying rent while a loan was being processed.
However, the deal has still not been closed and Tyga is accusing the owner of submitting incorrect paperwork.
His lawyer Lee Hutton tells TMZ.com, "We evidently live in a world where a man's word is no longer your bond."
