Tiffany Thornton has posted a heart-wrenching tribute to her late husband after he was killed in a car crash on Friday (04Dec15).
Chris Carney, who married the former Disney star in 2011, died after the car he was traveling in veered off a highway and crashed into a tree in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The 35 year old was pronounced dead at the scene, along with the driver, 37-year-old Ezekiel Blanton.
Tiffany shared a photo of Chris with their two young children, Kenneth and Bentley, on Instagram.com with the caption, "My life. My love. My angel."
She later posted another image, showing the couple on their wedding day, and wrote an emotional tribute in memory of her husband.
The couple split for a brief period last year (14) while Chris reportedly battled alcoholism, and Tiffany hinted at their relationship struggles in her post.
"No one is perfect in this world and we all have our battles but it's the way we get back on our feet and turn it around that really counts. And he did it," she wrote.
"He was the best father my children could ever have, an incredibly loving and sensitive husband, a wonderful brother and amazing son. He is already so dearly missed but I promise to spend the rest of my life sharing his testimony so that those who feel they have no place or have come from a place of struggle can learn that the love of the Lord can save us all.
"Thank you for your continued prayers for our family as we grieve the loss of my best friend Chris, the most incredible person I've ever had the blessing of knowing."
The actress then informed fans there will be a remembrance service held for Chris on Monday (07Dec15) at a church in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Demi Lovato, Tiffany's co-star in the TV show Sonny With a Chance, also posted a tribute to Chris on Instagram, sharing an image of the couple on their wedding day with herself in the background as one of Tiffany's bridesmaids.
"Been trying to figure out what to say all day..." Demi wrote. "This morning I woke up to terrible news. My good friend Chris Carney has passed away... It doesn't seem real and I'm still in shock... Still speechless. I don't know how to put into words how heartbroken I am for Tiffany and their two baby boys. You're already missed Chris... And Tiffany I love you so much... I'm so unbelievably sorry... There are still no words."
The singer then posted a link to a fundraising page for Tiffany and her two sons.
Chris, who was the son of Hot Springs Mayor Ruth Carney, found fame in MTV reality show Twentyfourseven, and as the frontman of The Prom Kings.
The Hunger Games actor Evan Ross, who appeared with Chris in Twentyfourseven, also posted his condolences on Instagram, sharing a photo of Tiffany, Chris and their two sons .
