A wannabe pop star who Usher mentored to victory on US talent show The Voice is heading to Broadway to star in hit musical Pippin.
Former teacher Josh Kaufman went on to win the contest earlier this year (14) and now the singer will join the cast of the coming-of-age play revival, about a young prince searching for the meaning of life.
Kaufman, who will lead the cast for a two-month stage stint from 4 November (14), says, "It's something I'm really excited about. I tend to be the kind of person who doesn't want to do just one thing. I get bored. So I'm really excited about having a new challenge and having something different to do."
