The Spice Girls have confirmed reunion plans in an exciting new video.
Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner marked the 20th anniversary of the release of their debut single Wannabe on Thursday (07Jul16). The girls, who were noticeably missing Victoria Beckham and Mel C, spoke of their excitement as they said they would be regrouping for a "big party" in the near future.
Mel B kicked off the video, saying: "We’ve been thinking, we have the best friends in the whole entire world."
Geri added, "You’ve stood by us for 20 years and we want to say a big thank you", before Emma said, "We’ve had our ups and downs but you’ve always been there."
Mel then said: "And we want to celebrate and have a party, and when we do..."
The trio all joined in by shouting: "You're all invited!" while blowing kisses and waving at the camera.
The video concluded with a written message flashing across the screen, reading: "Happy 20th birthday to all our fans. This is a celebration for you. We hope to tell you soon what you want, what you really, really want."
One noticeable thing about the video is that it's named "Spice Girls - GEM", referring to the three names of the girls involved in the reunion at this point.
Mel B shared a link to the video on her Instagram page, alongside a picture of herself, Emma and Geri in bed together, wearing party hats and blowing whistles.
She captioned the snap: "Yippppeeee!"
It was reported earlier this week (beg04Jul16) that the girls have booked a date to perform in London's Hyde Park next July (17).
While Victoria and Mel C are currently not involved in reunion plans, it is hoped that the trio can persuade Mel to sign up. It seems unlikely that Victoria will agree to the comeback, as she is now concentrating on her fashion career.
