Animated caveman adventure The Croods is heading back to the big screen for a sequel.
The film, which features the voices of Ryan Reynolds and Emma Stone, was released in March (13) and became only the second movie of 2013 to pass the $300 million mark at the global box office earlier this month (Apr13).
The movie's takings have since rocketed to over $386 million worldwide.
Its huge success has prompted DreamWorks Animation bosses to greenlight a follow-up for The Croods, although it is not yet known whether stars Reynolds, Stone and Nicolas Cage will return, reports EW.com.
