Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany was left red-faced when she was recognized by a fan at an all-women naked spa.
The 31-year-old actress stars in the hit NBC sci-fi thriller series, which focuses on one woman and her numerous clones.
While Tatiana has received critical acclaim for her role in the show, it's only more recently that she has been recognized for the part in public.
During an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday night (15Feb17), Tatiana revealed she is most often called "the orphan girl" by people when she's out and about, and recalled one of her most embarrassing experiences, which took place at a spa.
"I had this weird interaction with this woman in an all-women naked spa," she laughed. "We're all naked, we're all in a cold plunge, which is freezing cold water that you have to sit in for a minute. You go in the sauna, then you go in the hot plunge and then you go in the cold plunge.
"I was freezing and holding my body and she was like, 'Er, are you that orphan girl?' So, I said, 'Yes, yes, I am' (shivering). She was like, 'I heard that show's really weird - I haven't seen it'. And I went, 'Oh that's fine, no worries', covering my shrivelling body parts. It was horrible!"
Tatiana took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Orphan Black at last year's (16) ceremony. But as she had been nominated for the gong before and lost out, the Canadian star hadn't prepared an acceptance speech in case of victory.
"I hadn't planned anything," she said. "It was the morning of the Emmys and my boyfriend was like, 'You should write something'. And I said, 'No, no, no - there's no way'. And so, I wrote something on my phone and was like, 'There, are you happy?'
"And then they called me up and it was on my phone and not on a piece of paper, so I was getting these text messages that I had to keep closing (swiping up). All these people are like, 'Congratulations, good job!' And I was thinking, 'Shut up!' And then I couldn't remember my passcode. It was the worst - it was terrible!"
