R&B singer Tamar Braxton has been released from hospital a week after she was admitted to treat blood clots.

The younger sister of Toni Braxton was a semi-finalist on Dancing with the Stars, but withdrew from the contest after she fell ill during a rehearsal and was hospitalized.

Although she was initially diagnosed with pneumonia, doctors later concluded she is battling pulmonary embolisms, but on Tuesday (17 Nov15), she was spotted leaving a Los Angeles pharmacy.

She tells TMZ.com, "I just got out (of hospital). I just dropped off my prescriptions. I'm so excited to be back."

When asked if she was feeling back to normal, Braxton responded, "No, but I'm out (of) the hospital."
