Superman actor Henry Cavill is helping to save the planet by signing up as an ambassador for a conservation charity.
The Man of Steel hunk has become a spokesman for the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in his native Britain.
The charity is based in Cavill's home island of Jersey and works to prevent the extinction of endangered animals.
Cavill says of his new appointment, "What they do is close to my heart and something that deserves close attention. I feel that saving the diversity of life on our planet will be seen as increasingly important in the not-too-distant future."
