A Los Angeles judge has granted a request from embattled actor Stephen Collins' estranged wife to delay the estranged couple's divorce trial.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon granted a motion filed by Faye Grant's attorney to resign from the case because of a conflict, according to the New York Post, and the trial, which was scheduled to begin on Wednesday (12Nov14), has now been put back.
Collins and Grant were due in court to determine spousal support payments and how to divide their assets.
On Friday (07Nov14), Collins asked a Los Angeles judge to deny Grant any future spousal support payments, because he has been left with no income following a child molestation scandal, which began last month (Oct14), when audio footage, in which he allegedly confesses to inappropriately touching young girls, surfaced online.
The 7th Heaven star insists the tapes, which were secretly recorded by Grant at a therapy session in 2012, were leaked by her.
Collins also placed two of his California homes he shared with Grant up for sale in October (14).
