Kristin Chenoweth, Katy Perry, Chloe Grace Moretz, Demi Lovato and Zooey Deschanel are among the stars who have paid tribute to Cory Monteith following his death on Saturday (13Jul13).
The Glee actor was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver, Canada, and his passing has stunned the showbiz world.
Chenoweth, who has enjoyed guest stints on the hit TV show, writes in a post on her Twitter.com page, "RIP Cory Montieth (sic). You will be loved. Always", while Perry adds, "Rest in peace Cory. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones. Our prayers are with you."
Director Adam Shankman, who worked on several episodes of Glee, has posted a picture of himself on-set with Monteith and actress Lea Michele - the actor's real-life girlfriend - and shared his grief with followers. He writes, "Goodbye my amazing and beautiful friend. The lights in my world just grew dimmer. The world just lost one of our best. I love u (sic) so much. I will always cherish you in my heart. Thank you for so many wonderful days. I love you CM."
The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev adds, "I'm gutted. Shocked and saddened to hear the news, my heart goes out to Cory's family and friends. Let's respect their space as they grieve", Moretz mourns, "Rest in peace, everyone close to him and affected by this loss you're in my prayers" and Deschanel adds, "This is such sad news about Cory Monteith - what an absolutely tragic loss of a very talented young man."
Singer Lance Bass shares, "Devastated about the news of Cory Monteith - such an incredible guy - my thoughts are with his family and friends", Denise Richards writes, "This is devastating... my heart goes out to Cory Monteith & his loved ones... & cast and crew of Glee a tragic loss" and comedian Joel McHale simply states: "Way too soon. A very nice & good guy."
Lovato has reached out to Michele, adding, "RIP Cory Monteith... So unbelievably tragic. Please pray for Lea" and Olivia Munn posted, "Shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Cory Monteith. All my love to his family, friends & girlfriend."
Kaley Cuoco reveals she has been hit hard by Monteith's passing, writing, "No words. Prayers. Thoughts w (with) his family. This is terrible. Can't speak", actress Marlee Matlin adds, "My thoughts & prayers are with family and friends as well as cast of Glee on (the) passing of Cory Monteith. A young talent gone too soon" and new mother Kim Kardashian declares, "So sad. Prayers 4 (for) his family. Praying 4 (for) Lea too! Words can't describe what they must be feeling."
Glee star Dot-Marie Jones has taken to her page on the website to tell fans, "I have no words! My heart is broken. Cory was not only a hell of a friend, he was one amazing man that I will hold close to my heart forever. I am blessed to have worked with him and love him so much! My heart is with his family and our whole Glee family! I love you all!", while fellow castmember Damian McGinty reminisced about his time working with the actor on the series: "The guy I shot my first acting scene with. The nicest guy I've met. Can't believe it."
Fellow Canadian Ellen Page has also added her condolences to Monteith on Twitter.com, as have stars including Taylor Swift, Teresa Palmer, Mario Lopez, Kendall Jenner, Ariel Winter, Nikki Blonsky, Rumer Willis, Gilles Marini and Kat Dennings.
