Former Smash star Christian Borle has signed on to play two roles in the much-anticipated live TV special of Peter Pan.
The Tony award winner is in final negotiations to play both Captain Hook's sidekick Smee as well as the Darling children's father, Mr. Darling.
The casting follows the original Broadway production as well as the 1955 live TV broadcast, in which the parts of Captain Hook and Mr. Darling were both played by actor Cyril Ritchard.
Borle, who also appeared in last year's (13) live staging of The Sound of Music alongside Carrie Underwood, is well acquainted with the world of Peter Pan - he won his 2012 Tony for playing pirate Black Stache, the future Captain Hook, in the beloved story's prequel, Peter and The Starcatcher.
Borle joins previously cast Girls' star Allison Williams in the title role and Christopher Walken as Captain Hook.
