Famed director Sir Ridley Scott is planning a new disaster movie about what would happen if the world's transport systems ground to a halt.
The new film is based on a fictional BBC documentary drama from 2003 called The Day Britain Stopped, about a catastrophic train crash which sparks a chain of events leading to a U.K. national crisis.
Scott's project will take the drama to an international level and be based around a manmade disaster, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
He will work on the project with screenwriter Steve Zaillian - his partner on 2007 movie American Gangster.
