Shia Labeouf is to make his Broadway debut opposite Alec Baldwin in a revival of Lyle Kessler's Orphans.
He'll play one of two brothers who kidnap a wealthy man (Baldwin) and form an odd bond with him in the production, which will open next spring (13) at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater.
The play was adapted into a 1987 film, starring Albert Finney and Matthew Modine.
Shia LaBeouf won't be the only movie star taking a first-time bow on the New York stage early in 2013 - Amber Tamblyn, Maggie Grace and Tom Hanks have also signed on for major debuts.
