Selena Gomez took a break from her tour to play a special jam session with kids at a children's hospital in Massachusetts on Friday (27May16).
The Hands to Myself star took her Revival Tour to Boston on Saturday (28May16), but she arrived in the city a little early, opting to spend part of her day off meeting with patients at Boston Children's Hospital.
Selena chatted with several kids admitted at the medical center, taking photos and signing autographs for her fans. People magazine reports that at one point, she told a group of young girls, "I have a show in Boston... here, tomorrow. I never know where I am because I'm always on tour! But I have the day off so I figured I'd come and say, 'Hi!'".
She later made a pit stop at the hospital's Seacrest Studios, a state-of-the-art multimedia broadcast studio provided by TV/radio personality Ryan Seacrest's charitable foundation.
Selena was joined by other musically-inclined kids to play a rendition of Bill Withers' classic Lean on Me, playing the bongo drums while singing along with the patients.
Several photos and videos of her visit were posted online, including a shot of Selena signing an autograph for a young girl called Erica Almeida in a wheelchair.
The patient's mom, Carrie Almeida, shared the snap on Instagram, adding the caption, "Thank you sooo much @selenagomez for making us part of your busy schedule. You are exactly what I had hoped and pictured in my mind. Sweet, genuine, open. You made sure to look each child in the eye and give them time. Such a simple gesture meant so much. You rock sister!"
Carrie added, "She is perfectly beautiful, yet natural and best of all she is kind. I am so glad my daughter (and many other patients at BCH) had the opportunity to meet @selenagomez today. She is a such a positive example for this generation."
Selena continues her Revival tour on Wednesday (01Jun16) at Brooklyn, New York's Barclays Center.
