Modern Family star Sarah Hyland has declared war on a top pharmacy chain after bosses failed to refill her prescription for a serious medical condition before closing on Monday night (18Dec17).
The actress claims staff at her local CVS Pharmacy, who were supposed to notify her when the drugs were ready, failed to call and the store was closed when she showed up to collect.
Hyland, who has battled a series of health issues throughout her life and received a kidney transplant from her father several years ago, has taken the company to task on Twitter, raging: "Hey @cvspharmacy when you tell a kidney transplant recipient that her medication will be ready before you close and that you will notify her when it's ready to be picked up... DO IT BEFORE YOU CLOSE. PEOPLE LIKE ME CANT AFFORD TO GO WITHOUT MEDICATION."
"Also @cvspharmacy maybe put the CORRECT time you close on the internet," she added. "Just a suggestion from a long time customer who needs medication for the rest of her life."
A CVS spokesman has since responded, insisting, "We understand how upsetting this experience must have been. We’d like to follow up w/ (with) you offline to learn more & do whatever we can to improve your experience in the future."
But Sarah wasn't impressed, accusing bosses of sending a "a copy/paste" reply.
