Funnyman Russell Brand is planning to open a cafe on the London housing estate where he led a protest against residents' eviction last year (14).
The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star successfully campaigned with New Era estate locals in Hoxton as they fought rent increases.
And, on Thursday (26Mar15), Brand will leave his permanent mark in the neighborhood by opening his Trew Era Cafe, named after his daily YouTube news show, The Trews.
Profits from the trade paperback version of the comedian/activist's latest book, Revolution, will go towards funding The Trew Era Cafe.
