Rod Stewart has reworked his classic hit Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? with Joe Jonas' band Dnce - and they'll perform the new version at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The recording launches the rocker's new era as a Republic Records artist. He joins Jonas' group, Ariana Grande, Liam Payne, Florence + the Machine, and Hailee Steinfeld on the label's roster.
The new version of the track will be released on Friday (25Aug17), two days before Stewart and DNCE hit the VMAs stage on Sunday (27Aug17). DNCE won last year's Best New Artist award at the prizegiving.
The new act will join Jonas' ex Demi Lovato, who has just announced her sixth album, Tell Me You Love Me, will be released in September (17), Ed Sheeran, Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, Fifth Harmony, Lorde, 30 Seconds to Mars, and show host Katy Perry among the performers.
Rod's original Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? track was released in 1978 and hit number one in six countries.
Stewart is currently working on his first album since 2015's Another Country.
Rod isn't the only British rock veteran DNCE have teamed up with recently - they performed with Bonnie Tyler on an eclipse cruise on Monday (21Aug17). The Cake By the Ocean hitmakers supported the Welsh star as she belted out her hit Total Eclipse of the Heart as the moon blocked out the sun.
