Rob Kardashian is grateful to Blac Chyna for helping through his “darkest times”.
The 29-year-old reality star and dancer went public with their relationship at the beginning of 2016, announced their engagement in April (16) and are currently expecting their first child together. It came as a shock to many, especially Rob’s family, as Blac is the ex-fiancee of Rob’s half-sister Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend Tyga, and the former couple have son King Cairo together.
After a series of ups and downs, including Blac joking about her fiance’s family on Snapchat, his famous relatives soon realized the romance is having a positive impact on Rob, who has suffered from depression over the years which led to weight gain and a diabetes diagnosis.
"She got me through my darkest times," Rob told People magazine of his future-wife. "I wasn't happy in my own skin. I missed out on so many things.
"I've been friends with Chyna for a long time. She was someone I reached out to for advice. She would cook for me and we'd just talk. She's surrounded me with a lot of positivity. From the moment we met, I knew I wanted to be more than friends."
Blac, 28, joined her beau for the interview and insisted she never wanted to change Rob; she simply wanted to help him better himself. Her support has definitely paid off, as the sock designer is noticeably slimmer as of late and has even returned to appearing in his family’s TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
As for what the future holds for the loved up couple, Rob simply wants to continue living his life with Blac.
“There were definitely dark days for me, and I'm still not fully happy looking at myself in the mirror. But I'm working towards that. And I'm happy," he smiled.
