Singer-turned-actress Rita Ora is adding screenwriter to her resume by penning a film script.
The Your Song hitmaker is in the early stages of developing the movie, but she hopes to one day take the project to the big screen.
''I'd love to do a film," she says in an episode of MTV ASKS Rita Ora. "I've been writing one, like, secretly. It's really early, early days obviously so my dream is to one day co-produce, co-write, do the soundtrack and just do something behind the scenes.''
Rita explains she was inspired to work in the movie industry by her filmmaker grandfather, Besim Sahatciu, who revealed he wanted her to work onscreen before he passed away in 2005.
''My grandfather was so awesome," she smiles. "He used to make factual movies and I remember because when he passed away he was like, 'All I ever wanted you to do was do movies.' And now I'm doing them, it's so cute. So I know he's watching.''
Rita appeared in 2013's Fast & Furious 6 and although it was only a cameo role for the 26-year-old, it made her feel empowered.
''They needed a head girl for the girl drivers of London town...," she said in 2013. "They asked me, 'Would you mind being the leader of the pack in London?' I was like, 'Of course I'd love to.' And I think it summed up a great year for me, life kind of changed so I did feel like a cool little leader when I was playing that role.''
She subsequently scored the role of Mia Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey film adaptations and featured in a 2015 episode of hit hip-hop drama series Empire.
