Rita Ora has asked Tyra Banks for guidance on replacing her as host of America'S Next Top Model.
It was rumored earlier this month (Jul16) that the R.I.P. singer would be replacing the supermodel as presenter of the show, which was canceled by executives of The CW after 12 years in December (15) but later picked up by VH1.
Tyra, who had hosted the show from the very beginning, has confirmed Rita will front the modeling competition, revealing she has offered Rita a face-to-face chat after the singer approached her for some advice about how to make the role her own.
“Rita and I spoke today. I love her,” Tyra told ETOnline. "She was like, ‘Tyra, I don’t want to fill your shoes, I want to create my own shoes.’ So I was like, ‘I got you boo.’
“She was like, ‘I just want some advice and some help.’ So I’m going to have a session with her in person. I’m going to give her the ins and the outs, but make it you. Do you. She’s gotta make it her’s."
The 25-year-old singer is no stranger to reality TV as she recently worked as a judge on U.K. talent shows The Voice and The X Factor, both in 2015.
She confirmed she was stepping down from The X Factor after one season on Twitter in May (16), by writing, "I had a ball on @TheXFactor last year and will miss the team... @simoncowell can't wait to work with you again... I'll be round for dinner soon. Thank you for the experience & love."
She has made cameos in TV shows Empire and 90210, landed roles in movies such as Fifty Shades of Grey, and is reportedly working on her second album.
However, it's not all work for Rita - she attended two summer parties in London on Wednesday (06Jul16). She was first spotted at the GQ and Warner Music Group bash at Shoreditch House, before moving onto the Serpentine Gallery party later that evening.
