Singer Rita Ora has praised Madonna for waging a war against ageism in the music industry.
The Material Girl hitmaker became embroiled in a war of words with bosses at U.K. station BBC Radio 1 earlier this year (15) amid claims they were not playing music from her latest album Rebel Heart because of her age.
Ora has now applauded the 56-year-old pop star for tackling such a sensitive issue, writing in a post on Instagram.com, "Thank you for fighting all these ageist battles, and paving a way, that just maybe one day, all of us 'Younger' artists won't have to in the future!' @madonna #if**kinlovethisb**ch #thatswhatlegendsdo (sic)."
Ora's public show of support comes just days Madonna stunned audiences at Coachella on Sunday (12Apr15) when she joined Drake on stage and grabbed the rapper, who is 28 years her junior, to plant a passionate kiss on his lips.
