Rihanna gave Prince Harry a pop star welcome to her native Barbados on Wednesday (30Nov16) as part of the British royal's Caribbean tour.
The Umbrella hitmaker returned to the island nation to represent her country as she greeted Harry at the Toast to the Nation event, held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Barbados' independence from the British Empire.
Rihanna, who wore a light blue, knee-length dress for the occasion, was photographed smiling as she and the Prince shook hands.
According to Britain's The Daily Express, Rihanna was seated at a table with Guyana's President David Granger, and as the Prince walked over to her, he told the singer, "Hello, it's very nice to meet you."
The moment was captured on Snapchat by a royal aide, who captioned the post, "Meeting @badgalriri (Rihanna) at Barbados Independence celebrations".
Harry is also due to attend the Golden Anniversary Spectacular Mega Concert later on Wednesday, when Rihanna is set to perform the national anthem. The event will also feature other top Bajan talent.
The royal heir arrived in Barbados earlier this week and kicked off his visit with a stop at the Nightingale Children's Home, which provides accommodation and care for kids under the age of 18.
He also headed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday to spend time with sick children, six years after his last visit.
His two-week tour of the Caribbean will wrap up this weekend with a trip to Guyana.
