Rapper Joe Budden has failed in his bid to have assault and robbery charges dismissed after a judge ruled the case should be heard by a grand jury in December (15).
Budden appeared in court on Thursday (03Sep15) in an attempt to get the case thrown out, with his lawyer Nami Amiri declaring, "Joe, at this point, is anxious to get this resolved. And by resolved, I mean dismissed."
The judge refused to dismiss the charges and ordered the case to be heard by a grand jury in December (15), AllHipHop.com reports.
The charges stem from an alleged altercation between Budden and his ex-girlfriend last year (14).
The Pump It Up hitmaker denies the charges.
