R&B superstar R. Kelly has started work on a festive album for Christmas 2014.

The I Believe I Can Fly singer admits he has been working on his first holiday compilation for over a year - and now he's getting ready to complete it and release it in time for the festive season next year (14).

He says, "I'm working on a Christmas album right now called The 12 Nights of Christmas and it's gonna be a lot of lovemaking. I come with that bearing gifts (sic).

"I started it last Christmas actually, but I don't believe in just putting out a Christmas album just to sell records... In order to get that and capture that moment, you have to take a couple of Christmases and then you come with it."
