Prince William missed his late mum Diana, Princess Of Wales when he married last year (11), insisting he felt "sad" she wasn't there to witness the ceremony.
Prince William was just 15 years old when his mother died in a car crash in 1997, and he went on to give his now-bride Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge Diana's engagement ring when he proposed in 2010.
Speaking candidly about his nuptials at London's Westminster Abbey on 29 April (11), the royal admits he wished his mum could have met his bride and watch them walk down the aisle.
In new documentary The Jubilee Queen, he tells Katie Couric, "I sort of prepared myself beforehand (but) it's the one time since she's died where I've... thought to myself it would be fantastic if she was here, and just how sad really for her, more than anything, not being able to see it."
