Britain's Prince Harry has been invited to spend his honeymoon in Antigua after the country's Prime Minister referred to his girlfriend Meghan Markle as the "new princess".
The Suits actress' relationship with the royal was made public in October (16), when it was revealed the couple has been dating for a few months.
Harry is currently on a two-week tour of the Caribbean and during an official engagement on Monday (21Nov16), Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, teased his guest in front of 300 guests by inviting the Prince and his new lady to the island nation.
"I believe we are expecting a new princess soon," the politician said. "I want you to know that you are very welcome to come on your honeymoon here, Antigua and Barbuda want to welcome you.
"We have been voted consistently as the best honeymoon destination in the Caribbean, and one of the best in the world, so there will be nowhere in the world as special to spend your honeymoon, when that day arrives."
Reports suggest the 32-year-old Brit blushed as he laughed off the remark, and it wasn't the only embarrassing comment Gaston made, reports Us Weekly.
He then suggested Harry should enjoy himself with any one of the six beauty queens he met at the event, stating, "You are the coolest member of the royal family and one of the most successful ones. I am quite sure you will have a wonderful evening. Whatever is done here, stays here. So do not worry."
Prince Harry's Caribbean trip will also take him to Guyana and Barbados, where he will meet R&B beauty Rihanna at a celebration to mark the 50th anniversary of the nation's independence on 30 November (16). The Umbrella star has been invited to sing the national anthem.
