Tony-award winning musical Pippin is to close its doors in January (15).
The revival of the coming-of-age play about a young prince searching for the meaning of life will have its final performance at the Music Box Theater in New York City on 4 January (15).
The critically-acclaimed revamp of the 1972 musical by Stephen Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson had its world premiere at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2012, and went on to have its Broadway debut in April, 2013 and scored four Tony Awards that same year.
Josh Kaufman, the winner of The Voice reality TV series earlier this year (14), recently joined the Broadway cast in the titular role and will play the young prince when the curtain comes down in January (15).
