British/Irish boyband One Direction teamed up with the stars of the new Anchorman movie this weekend (07Dec13) to perform a comedy duet on sketch show Saturday Night Live.
The pop stars were guests on the comedy program on Saturday night (07Dec13) along with Paul Rudd and his co-stars from Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, including Will Ferrell, David Koechner and Steve Carell.
After exchanging barbs with the group, guest host Rudd declared he had set up a rival "man band", before teaming up with the young singers for a rendition of Starland Vocal Band's Afternoon Delight, and branding the supergroup "Nine Direction".
Members of One Direction went on to test their acting skills by appearing in a number of other sketches with the Anchorman stars, while they also performed tracks from their new album Midnight Memories.
