Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis thought their daughter was on the way while stuck in traffic en route to a Beyonce concert.
The couple welcomed its second child Daisy on 11 October (16) but the stars actually thought the baby was coming four days earlier, when the actress began experiencing contractions.
"Daisy was born on Tuesday, but on Friday night, (Olivia) and I were going out - date night," Jason explains to Harry Connick, Jr. on his talk show Harry. "This is how confident of a lady Olivia is: She's like, 'Date night, we're going to go see Beyonce.' So, we were in line to get in the Lincoln Tunnel (connecting New York and New Jersey) and there was an accident in there."
They were worried they would miss a lot of the show because of the traffic through the tunnel so they made the decision to turn around, which is when her contractions began.
"I don't know if it was the pressure, if it was the traffic, or the fact that we were going to be late. It was just bad in the back seat of the car," he said. "We U-turned and got it out of there. We figured it would be a bad scene to have the baby in a tunnel - and a little redundant!"
They drove straight to the hospital and walked around the area for a while and the baby then calmed down. Jason jokes that she had just become excited about seeing Beyonce so was "sitting there doing the (Single Ladies) dance, like, 'I know where I'm going!'"
The couple, which already has two-year-old Otis, announced Daisy's actual birth days later on 15 October (16) by sharing a picture on Instagram of the newborn laid on a sheep pillow.
Daisy's birth forced Jason to cancel his original slot on Harry on 11 October (16).
