Nina Agdal's laughed off her grandmother's warning to playboy beau Leonardo DiCaprio.
Last month (Jul16), the 24-year-old's elderly relative, Lona, gave the Hollywood actor a public warning to "behave" towards her granddaughter, otherwise he'll have her to deal with. She also confirmed that after around six years of friendship, things had turned romantic. Nina can't help but laugh at her grandmother's sentiments.
"It's kind of hysterical, right?" the model laughed to Elle when the interview between Lona and Mail Online was mentioned.
"First of all, my grandma is like 75 years old. She's in Denmark. And she's on Twitter, she's on Instagram, she's on Facebook. She's really into the internet. And I've told her, 'It's fine to follow all my accounts, but only if you're okay with what I do! If you're okay with my pictures, and you don't make negative comments about my choices, then I'm fine with it.'
"But Grandma, she's a special one. I don't know what happened with (the Daily Online). I'm not going to ask. I'm just like, 'Well, this is hysterical.'"
Nina has learnt one important lesson from the scenario though; it's impossible to keep a secret from the press.
The Danish model and Oscar-winning actor have made no secret of their romance, flaunting their love during a luxury boat trip from Spain to Greece recently. Leonardo, 41, also made his affections clear when he kissed Nina during a visit to the beach in Malibu, California, in mid-July (16).
Nina is the latest model Leonardo has romanced; he was previously involved with the likes of Toni Garrn, Erin Heatherton and Anne Vyalitsyna, a former girlfriend of Adam Levine - one of Nina's exes.
