Nicole Scherzinger has denied lying about her age following her fellow The X Factor judge Louis Walsh's recent claims.
The Irish music manager recently claimed in an interview with Britain's Heat magazine that the 39-year-old former Pussycat Dolls star was older "than she says she is".
The singer hit back at his claims during the press launch for the show's upcoming season on Wednesday (30Aug17), insisting she has always told the truth about her age.
"I wish I was lying about my age! That's the thing that sucks - I've never lied about my age," she said, according to the Huffington Post, before joking, "I should have started lying about it a while ago."
She then playfully joked about 65-year-old Louis' advancing years by adding, "You know what? I'm really grateful Louis is still with us."
Louis stirred up the rumors earlier this week, by saying, "She may be out really late the night before filming but she's still on it... It's great that she can still do all of it at her age. Nobody knows what age she is, but she's older than she says she is. That shows how well we can get on. I can say things like that."
They continued to play off each other during the press launch, in which Nicole said the only time there could possibly be conflict would be if Louis secured a better location for the Judges' Houses segment of the competition, but she has a plan to get her own way.
"The only real argument is if Louis has a better Judges' Homes. Whatever one he has, I want that one... I'm like (to producers), 'I'll come in naked on a jet ski.'"
"Nicole normally gets what she wants because she goes to the producers behind my back and is like 'I want that, I want this,'" Louis added, and she replied, "Louis, are you going to come in naked on a jet ski?"
The duo will be seen back on the judging panel with Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne when the show returns on Saturday (02Sep17).
