Rapper Nicki Minaj is taking her acting talents to the small screen by appearing in and executive producing a TV show based on her life.
The comedy series will film its pilot episode in the Anaconda hitmaker's adopted hometown of Queens, New York later this year (15) and it will center on Minaj's childhood and her rise to stardom.
Announcing the project, Minaj says, "This is one of the more unique adventures I've ever embarked on.
"I couldn't be more proud and excited to team up with an amazing group of people to give the world something really special."
The 32 year old made her feature film debut as the voice of Steffie in 2012's Ice Age: Continental Drift. She went on to appear in The Other Woman opposite Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann.
