Nick Jonas thrilled drama students on Tuesday (29May12) by bringing them onto the New York stage as part of a special Broadway project.
The teen idol, who recently wrapped his stint in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, was the master of ceremonies at the annual Music Theatre International Broadway Junior Student Celebration at The Shubert Theatre, which has housed hit productions including Chicago and Spamalot.
Jonas looked on as hundreds of youngsters from public schools in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan made their Broadway debut performing songs from musicals including Guys and Dolls, Bugsy Malone and Fame.
The event was the culmination of a week-long education initiative that aims to establish musical theatre in schools with limited arts programming.
