Niall Horan is planning to make his first visit to see Liam Payne and Cheryl's new baby Bear this week (end11Jun17).
Niall is currently in the U.K. promoting his new single Slow Hands, and has made plans to drop in on the new parents.
The visit will be the first time the 23-year-old has met his One Direction bandmate's two-month old son, as he says their busy schedules have kept them apart.
"I'm going to try and see them this week actually as I haven't met the kid yet," he tells U.K. breakfast TV show Lorraine. "I keep missing them. They're going to America, I'm coming back here and vice versa so I'm going to try and get down to them this week."
Although he is currently focusing on his solo career, with a full album due out in the autumn (17), Niall insists the group will get back together, but are still focusing on their own projects.
He explains, "It's a no brainer really. Also, it's only been a year and a half. A year and a half in a life span is not that long."
Despite being his second solo single, Slow Hands was a late edition to his forthcoming album, as he only wrote the track, which he describes as "very sexual", a few months ago.
He explains, "I thought I'd finished the album last November (or) December (16), then I had a thought in January that I wasn't and I went back into the studio and I wrote Slow Hands in February - it was kind of like a last minute addition to the album."
After the release of Liam Payne's track Strip That Down last month (May17), all the One Direction boys have now released solo material.
Ex-member Zayn Malik and Harry Styles have gone one step further than their bandmates, by releasing full albums, with both of their records topping the charts in the U.K. and U.S.
While four of the lads have all opted to ditch their mentor Simon Cowell having gone solo, Louis Tomlinson has opted to stay with the mucic mogul's Syco label, signing a new deal this week (end11Jun17).
