Niall Horan launched the 2016 Horan And Rose Event alongside pal and golf professional Justin Rose at The Grove on Sunday (May 29) in Watford, England.
The One Direction star is keeping busy during the group's hiatus, with the launch of The Horan & Rose Event, a two-day charity event to raise awareness and funding for Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens.
Golf fanatic Niall, 22, teamed up with Ryder Cup winner Justin to raise money and awareness for the charity, which is close to his heart.
The event was hosted by television presenters Kirsty Gallacher and Gabby Logan and featured food by chef Jamie Oliver and his Fifteen team, and a live performance by Olly Murs.
Niall said in a statement ahead of the event: “I’m thrilled to team up with Justin to host our first Horan & Rose Gala event, it’ll be great to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens, a charity I feel very strongly about.
"As a golf fanatic teaming up with Justin, a major winner, Ryder cup hero and a great friend, is just so exciting."
And pal Justin added: “Niall and I are delighted to host this joint event in aid of CRUK kids and teens. Every penny we raise will go towards saving another child’s life. As a father myself to two kids, I couldn’t think of a more worthwhile cause.
"Teaming up with my good friend Niall is exciting, Niall is helping bring the game of golf to a brand new audience which will only help encourage more young people to take up the game. It’s set to be a great couple of days.”
It's set to be a busy time for the philanthropic One Direction star who is also part of the line-up for the upcoming Soccer Aid 2016 tournament which benefits Unicef alongside bandmate Louis Tomlinson.
Speaking to Digital Spy at the Horan and Rose launch, Irish star Niall seemed confident his team is worthy adversaries for pal Louis.
"I'm definitely confident about Soccer Aid yeah, usually this banter happens on Twitter and stuff like that but I think the English boys have been a little bit quieter than they usually are," he said.
"I think they know what's coming, we've got a very, very strong team. We've got Ronaldinho, I think that pretty much says enough," he boasted. "Just in general it's gonna be an unbelievable experience."
