Niall Horan landed a duet with young country star Maren Morris by simply sending her an email.
The One Direction star is a big fan of the My Church singer and cut through the music industry red tape to get her in the studio with him.
At Wednesday's (09Aug17) Capitol Congress in Hollywood, the Irishman told label bosses, industry heads and reporters Morris agreed to sing on his new track Seeing Blind after her dropped her a line.
"She happily accepted (the invitation)," Niall said.
And he's thrilled he asked because the song turned out perfectly: "(It has) an infectious chorus accented by Morris' vocals," he explained.
Horan was the first current member of One Direction to release a solo single when This Town came out last year (17). Since then, his bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have all released solo songs as the One Direction hiatus continues.
