Mischa Barton has crushed the hopes of legions of The O.C. fans after insisting the timing "doesn't feel right" for a reunion with her castmates from the hit show.
Barton shot to mainstream success as Marissa Cooper in the teen drama but her character was killed off in season three and the show was cancelled in 2007.
The first episode aired on 5 August 2003 and as the ten-year anniversary of the show approached, fans clamoured for a cast reunion, but Barton has shot down rumors of a get-together happening anytime soon.
She tells US Weekly, "You know - never say never, but, I think things have to feel right and it doesn't feel right. You can't say that you feel one way or another about things, but before The O.C. I was on track to do some great films, as well, and one thing happens and then I got this mega stardom all from this show. It is what it is, but I'm not looking to get sucked back into the limelight of it."
