Miranda Lambert has shut up shop in the town she called home while married to Blake Shelton.
The Mama's Broken Heart singer opened the Pink Pistol store in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, in November, 2012, but almost a year after the couple's break-up and divorce, Miranda is moving on and expanding the business in her hometown of Lindale, Texas.
The Lindale store, which opened in 2013, is currently undergoing renovations, and Miranda plans to open the revamped and improved shop in August (16).
The singer made the announcement in a statement on Wednesday (25May16), thanking everyone who helped make the Tishomingo boutique a success.
She said, "I want to send a heartfelt thank you to all the employees who worked hard to help me bring the store in Tishomingo to life, as well as the patrons who came to experience the Pink Pistol and supported the store. Sometimes you need to close a chapter to build on a new beginning or go back home."
The Pink Pistol isn't the only business venture Miranda runs in Tishomingo - in 2014, she renovated an eight-bedroom 1900s guest house and turned it into a bed and breakfast, called the Ladysmith. That same year, she opened the doors to a no-kill animal shelter, called Redemption Ranch. Through her charity, MuttNation Foundation, and pet food company Pedigree, Lambert took over the government-run dog shelter and turned the facility into a welcoming home for dogs set for adoption.
Miranda and Blake divorced last July (15) after nearly four years of marriage. Both have moved on to new loves - Miranda is now dating singer Anderson East and Blake is romancing No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani.
