Miley Cyrus insists she has already moved on from Liam Hemsworth less than a month after announcing their split.
The couple got engaged in June last year (12) but after weeks of speculation about the state of their relationship, they confirmed last month (Sep13) that the romance is over.
Now Cyrus has opened up about the breakup for the first time, telling chat show host Ellen DeGeneres she has already closed the door on the doomed romance and is concentrating on promoting her new album, Bangerz.
She says, "It's not really as awkward (as it seems) because I'm living it. So I think people spend more time actually thinking about it then I really do. I just believe when a chapter is done you have to close it and start that new one. That's kind of where I am right now.
"I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my energy hasn't really been focused on that. I've been kind of impressed with people and how much they have actually shown me respect. I don't really look up anything (online) so maybe they haven't been showing respect but from what I have seen I felt like people have really focused on my music right now when I've needed them to, and (they) have actually been really good about that."
