Meghan Trainor joined Jill Scott for a performance of Shania Twain's hit Man, I Feel Like A Woman at the Cmt Artists Of The Year show on Wednesday night (19Oct16).
The All About That Bass singer was just one of the famous faces present for the gala, held at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Joining forces with R&B star Jill and up and coming country superstar Kelsea Ballerini, the trio belted out Shania's 1999 smash alongside a medley of the singer's most famous tracks, while Shania sang along from her seat in the audience.
Shania was honored with this year's Artist of a Lifetime award at the gala - the first female to take home the gong - and told the crowd she will be forever grateful to network CMT, Country Music Television, for backing her throughout her career.
"I want to thank CMT for being such a huge support all these years even in my more rebellious years in the beginning when I was probably considered controversial, but you still put me on the air," she smiled.
As well as delighting the audience with her vocal talents, Kelsea was also presented with the breakout artist gong, and was in the middle of her speech when she had a fan-girl moment after spotting Shania in the crowd.
"Whoa, I am nervous," she said. "That is Shania Twain!"
Carrie Underwood, who was named one of the several Artists of the Year at the event, was another performer on the evening, belting out Like I'll Never Love You Again alongside a backing group of songwriters Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna and Liz Rose.
Appearing overcome after the performance, Carrie said: "Aren't we blessed? God is good and he has definitely been good to me."
Chris Stapleton was presented with the Artist of the Year award, and sang a solo version of Whiskey and You.
One of the most memorable moments of Wednesday's gala came when Luke Bryan's tour mates Little Big Town poked fun at the singer after he recently broke his collarbone when he fell off a bicycle.
"Luke, we have all made fun of you for falling off stages here and there and you can hardly hold yourself upright," Little Big Town's Phillip Sweet joked. "What in god's name makes you think you should start riding a bicycle?"
The group then kept the jibe going by presenting Luke with a child's bike complete with training wheels before giving him his Artist of the Year trophy.
Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett were the other two acts presented with Artist of the Year awards. Rhett also delighted the crowd when he took to the stage to perform a mashup of his song Die a Happy Man with Zara Larsson's Never Forget You.
