Actor Mark Wahlberg is planning to reward a fan who brought pizza and cookies to the set of his new movie by offering her tickets to the film's premiere.
The Transformers star was filming scenes for Boston Marathon bombing movie Patriots Day in Framingham, Massachusetts when Jackie Becker, who is severely brain damaged after contracting eastern equine encephalitis as a child, showed up and offered to treat her favorite celebrity.
"I said to him, 'We have this beautiful pizza from our local Italian bakery, Framingham Bakery, with these anisette cookies for him," Jackie's mom Jean Becker told WFXT-TV. "He said, 'That's great, can you bring it over to the trailer?' He (then) called us up to the trailer and he was wonderful. He came right up to Jackie, he leaned down to her and he said hi to her. He thanked me for the pizza..."
Towards the end of their meeting, Mark invited the pair to the film's premiere.
"He looked to his assistant and he said, 'Give them a card, I'd like you to come to the premiere'," she continues. "I said to him, 'You have no idea what you just did'. It was the best day of her (Jackie's) life..."
Patriots Day, which chronicles the events surrounding the 2013 bombings at the Boston Marathon, is slated for a limited release in December (16).
