Mariah Carey asked for U.K. chat show host Alan Carr's set to be rotated 180 degrees so could only be filmed from her left side.
The Hero singer has become known for her diva demands and she made no exception during her appearance on U.K. talk show Alan Carr: Chatty Man back in 2009, as Carr reveals in his upcoming book Alanatomy.
He claims her team asked for the angle of the set to be completely changed just so she could be filmed on her best side.
"Mariah requested she only be filmed from the left side and that the set would have to be rotated 180 degrees to accommodate this," he wrote, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper, which has serialised the book. "We all laughed - I did my 'what are you like' face, but hers remained the same.
"We didn't rotate it (I don't think we actually could) and to this day I don't know if she was joking."
Mariah has been hit with many reports suggesting what outlandish requests she has made over the years, and admitted during an interview with Parade magazine in 2008 that while she can be tough, she isn't as demanding as people may think.
"When it comes to certain things, yes, I can be difficult and a little bit rigid about what I want," she said. "Am I demanding? I don’t think I’m demanding enough. I think if I were more demanding, I would have felt that I had some sort of power as opposed to feeling like a pawn, which is something I had to grow out of," she explained.
