Singer Marc Anthony swept the board at the Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday (24Apr14), scooping an impressive 10 prizes.
The star took honors in categories including Artist of the Year, Top Latin Album of the Year for Spanish-language disc 3.0, and Hot Latin Song, Digital Song and Latin Airplay Song of the Year for Vivir Mi Vida, a track which spent 17 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart when it was released last year (13).
Singer Romeo Santos appeared set for an extra special night at the ceremony after landing 17 nominations, but he only came away with three awards for Songwriter and Producer of the Year and a joint prize with Enrique Iglesias for their song Loco.
Other big winners were Prince Royce, who picked up four awards, and late superstar Jenni Rivera, who scooped three posthumous accolades.
Shakira was also named Social Artist of the Year and Bruno Mars won Crossover Artist of the Year.
The 2014 Billboard Latin Music Awards were broadcast live from Miami, Florida on Thursday.
