Outraged Game Of Thrones star Maisie Williams has slammed editors of a British tabloid for focusing on the revealing outfit she wore to a charity bash.
The young Brit was appalled when she saw coverage of her night out at the Summer Masquerade Ball for The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) on Sunday (05Jun16) - because there was too much attention on the fact she chose to hit the red carpet without a bra.
On Monday (06Jun16), Maisie took aim at one of the superficial headlines, and attacked the publication for not paying more attention to the charity event.
Editors of the outlet went with: "Unveiled: Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams goes braless in sheer lace dress and quirky headpiece at charity masquerade ball."
And the 19-year-old offered up an alternative, tweeting: "Game of Thrones actor, Maisie Williams, helps raise thousands at a Summer Masquerade Ball for @NSPCC."
The charity bosses approved of the young star's effort to raise more awareness for the NSPCC, responding to her tweet and stating: "@Maisie_Williams thanks for all your support, Maisie - we really appreciate it!"
The charity bash took place just before the latest episode of Game of Thrones aired in America. Fans were stunned when Maisie's character Arya Stark was attacked and stabbed by The Waif. She was seen at the end of the episode stumbling through the streets of Braavos clutching her bleeding stomach.
