Madonna kept her promise not to risk another Hyde Park curfew controversy during her Tuesday night (17Jul12) show in London by wrapping up her return to Britain with almost three minutes to spare.
The pop superstar's managers sat down with Live Nation executives at the beginning of the week (beg16Jul12) to make sure Madonna wouldn't suffer the same fate as Bruce Springsteen did on Saturday (14Jul12) when his encore performance with Sir Paul McCartney was cut short by promoters when the duo sailed past the outdoor venue's cut-off time.
The singer kept her eye on the time throughout her show - after arriving a little late - walking off stage at 10.27pm.
There was another McCartney at the gig - Paul's designer daughter Stella, who is one of Madonna's closest friends, was backstage, while Australian superstar Kylie Minogue, George Michael, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and even the pop superstar's ex-husband Guy Ritchie were spotted in the crowd at the concert.
With rain threatening to ruin the concert, Madonna proved she has elemental powers as she led the crowd in a chant of "Rain, rain go away!" - and the show stayed dry.
