Rapper Machine Gun Kelly sent his team into a panic when he failed to show up for a rehearsal just hours before his performance at a high profile gig in Las Vegas on Saturday (19Sep15).

The hip-hop star was due to hit the stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Sin City with his mentor Sean 'Diddy' Combs, but he prompted a search when he stayed out partying following a wild night in Sin City and failed to attend a soundcheck.

He tells Billboard.com, "Everyone thought I was dead this morning. They had the hotel manager looking for me... (I was) in a hallway in a stripclub or something... First day of school s**t."

Kelly went on to perform with Combs as planned. Other artists who hit the stage during the festival included Jennifer Lopez, Kanye West and The Killers.
