Lindsay Lohan has accused the new Suicide Squad movie of "hurting people".
The 30-year-old actress took to her Instagram page on Tuesday (19Jul16) to comment on the new film, which stars Jared Leto, Margot Robbie and Will Smith. Referring to the recent alleged terrorist attack in Nice and the coup in Turkey, Lindsay encouraged bosses to reconsider the timing of the film's release.
"#nice #bless #turkey #staysafe a suicide squad movie is not helping the world but hurting people," Lindsay wrote. "Anger is not an answer for peace. #love #turnup #beherenow #lovenotwar."
The Mean Girls star wrote the caption under a picture collage of Leto as The Joker in Suicide Squad, alongside Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson in the role for former films, and Brandon Lee in his movie The Crow.
Despite Jack's portrayal of the character coming in Batman in 1989, five years before The Crow was released, Lindsay appeared to be accusing the actors of all basing their alter ego's looks on Brandon's character in The Crow.
"Who wore it better? Who based his whole music and film career on the film, The Crow?" Lindsay wrote, before adding a quote from the film - "Every man's got a devil, and you can't rest until you find him".
Brandon was accidentally killed in a firearms accident on the set of The Crow in 1993, leading to a stunt double and special effects being used to complete the movie before it was released posthumously in 1994.
Lindsay later shared a snap of herself and her rumored fiance Egor Tarabasov splashing in the sea, writing: "The perfect silence #love Try to think about the last thing I put on my page.. The words are stronger than the picture you see."
