Lil Wayne has played down reports suggesting he has been banned from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida after disrespecting the Miami Heat basketball stars who play there.
The Lollipop hitmaker, who also lives in Miami, hit headlines in February (13) after lashing out at Heat heroes LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh amid claims he had been forcibly removed from their home venue during a game against the Los Angeles Lakers after he began cheering for the visiting team.
Wayne hit the stage for a gig after the alleged incident and verbally attacked the sportsmen, going so far as to suggest he had slept with Bosh's wife.
But, appearing on late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday (11Jun13), the hip hop star dismissed reports suggesting his actions and remarks had landed him a lifetime ban from Heat home games.
He said, "I didn't get banned because they did tell me that I'm allowed back whenever I want, but I don't think they want me there (and) I won't make it hard on either of us."
And asked about the remarks he made about the players, specifically his verbal attack on Bosh, the rapper joked, "I said that?"
