Actress Laura Benanti is pregnant again a year after suffering a miscarriage.
The Nashville star and husband Patrick Brown were expecting a baby last year (15), but in September (15), the actress opened up about her devastating loss.
"The day I found out I was pregnant was the happiest day of my life," she wrote on The Huffington Post. "I had wanted to be a mom for a long time, and at 36 it was finally happening. I felt like I was experiencing a miracle. I went home after our doctor's appointment with the sweet rhythm of that heartbeat on a magical loop in my mind."
Less than an hour after the appointment, Benanti started suffering intense cramping and bleeding, which lasted for 18 hours. Returning to the doctor the following morning, she discovered she had miscarried.
"Our miracle was over," she wrote.
However, she now has another miracle to look forward to and on Thursday (11Aug16), the 37-year-old took to Instagram to announce the happy news, writing, "Patrick and I doing some light summer reading. Coming this winter...#BabyGirlBrown!!!," she wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of the couple reading What to Expect When You're Expecting.
This will be the first child for the pair, who wed in November (15). Laura was previously married to Spin Doctors frontman Chris Barron and actor Steven Pasquale.
